The Seam Expands, Appoints New Technical Analyst and Software Engineer

MEMPHIS, Tenn., November 2, 2018 – The Seam, a leading provider of agribusiness software and trading solutions, today announced the appointment of Kierston Hill as Technical Analyst and Willow A. Grant as Software Engineer. Both Hill and Grant report to Jason Sutton, Manager of Software Engineering.

“Willow’s skillset in secure data programming is exactly what we are looking for in our software engineering department,” said Mark Pryor, Chairman and CEO at The Seam. “We are also excited to utilize Kierston’s background in web development to further our blockchain initiatives.”

In her role as Technical Analyst, Hill is responsible for the development and programming of software applications, as well as designing data schema for The Seam’s online trading platforms.

As Software Engineer, Grant will be responsible for developing innovative business solutions for the agriculture industry by utilizing decentralized applications and blockchain technology. Her primary responsibilities will consist of database design, encryption, programming and optimization.

Prior to her role at The Seam, Hill served as a front-end developer for Charter Communications in Denver, Colorado. She earned a bachelor’s degree in university studies from Brigham Young University, as well as a certificate in full-stack development from Galvanize.

Grant has an extensive background in programming confidential digital systems for companies such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She is also a graduate of Trinity University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science.
